On the Tatooine theme not sure how I'm going to use it but it painted up so lovely and is just the right scale, a game piece from the Star Wars Risk board
    game. Rancor!

Those hex tiles do look very good and I guess offer a lot of variety too. Characters "may" be something we add to the rules for specific scenarios so it is good to have them even as "special" markers. We do have a "morale mechanic" so leaders could influence this. I have made a couple of model conversions myself out of green stuff: Probe Droids and a Wampa.

and finally ...........for now at least!.......the lovely turrets and battle damaged towers from Combat Zone Scenery. These are perfect for x wing and recreating the Death Star Trench Defence or any base where big Laser Turrets are needed, plus they do
a nice ion cannon for Hoth too :)

That is a great collection! 3D terrain is always a cool sight even though it can make moving ships around more of a challenge. That Echo Base set had some character models in it (10mm scale) that I have used.

Yes I don't get excited about a flat gaming space mat, here is a pic of the Death Star trench I am working on. Again using Kallistra'a Hexon Terrain. I have over 20 boxes of the stuff now!, not cheap but great quality and so many options.

Absolutely stunning pictures you've posted. I have actually been looking at Hex terrain pieces vs gaming mats along with miniatures to open up past the battle of hoth.

    Keep Em' coming! :)

I have collected and compared various Micro Machines and Titanium Series models and found some that fit in with the X-Wing Game and Pendraken figures. I have now started to modify Pendraken figures to give me important characters.

The picture shows Star Wars X-Wing and Tie Fighter on X-Wing Bases, Pendraken 10mm figures and conversions to make characters, , Star Wars Titanium AT-AT and First Order Transporter, Star Wars Micro Machines AT ST, X-Wing and Tie Fighter.

I ordered Pendraken Sci Fi Marines for Stormtroopers (1 each of SFH1, SFH2, SFH3) and Pendraken Modern Argentines for Rebel Forces (1 each FLA1, FLA5, FLA6). I have also ordered Pendraken zombie survivors (SFZ6) and Women & Children (SFH11) to give me civilians and figures to convert to make characters. And lastly, I have bought Predators (SFX4) to give me some tall aliens.

I have not been able to work out how to get the photo to display.

Great job on these, especially modifying the models with green stuff. It is good that most of these models are of a compatible scale to the X-Wing models, although it doesn't matter too much if they are slightly smaller or larger. All that is really needed is a standardized base size for movement purposes. Characters are something that should be included at some stage even if they are just markers for mission purposes. But obviously they can have a real influence in skirmishes and close combat.
